Biography & Personal Statement

Staci Jordan is a sophomore from District Heights, MD studying at the University of Maryland as an undergraduate. She is now majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and her interests include law and music, specifically singing. Music has always been a passion of hers and she plans to continue learning about it and being connected to it even if she does not pursue it as her primary career. Staci intends to use her passion for law to either address current issues within the criminal justice system, like how accused individuals are treated by the law, or address smaller issues amongst people being neglectful and causing harm to others or the environment.

When the opportunity to be a College Park Arts Scholar was introduced to Staci, she accepted it eagerly because she was grateful for the opportunity to stay connected with her passion for music while pursuing another career path. One thing that excites her about being a College Park Arts Scholar is the chance to explore other art forms besides vocal music and to interact with other artists.
